  1. How do I cancel my AA break down cover?
Me and my ex split so don’t see why I should pay for both my car and hers.
We don’t live together so need to cancel it

  2. I call the AA to cancel breakdown cover, be prepared for a VERY hard sell by the AA Customer Services .. It definitely won’t be a “Please cancel my cover”, “Certainly sir/madam” conversation.

  3. AA MEMBERHSIP I WISH TO CANCEL AA MEMBERSHIP WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT AND ALSO STOP THE DD GOING OUT ON THE 14TH OCTOBER 2018 WHEN IT IS RENEWED – REASON FOR THIS IS THAT V134 URP HAS BEEN WRITTEN OFF, WILL TELEPHONE THIS MONDAY TO CONFIRM THAT THEY HAVE RECEIVED THIS MESSAGE,

  4. I have not been a member of the AA for many years since I changed my previous car with AA cover for another vehicle which came with breakdown cover .Can I request that the AA please stops sending information and new membership cards with a renewal date of 26th March 2019 .
Please this request and that no money will be taken by previous DD method .Thank You

  5. I am NOT a Member and yet they took ? on 31 Dec.
Their letter today 2 April alerted me.
I have cover with Green Flag.
I will ask them to Refund ?

  6. Send letter via recorded delivery to cancel. That way you don’t succumb to the hard sell (when trying to cancel via phone). I believe the cancellation call center is based in Newcastle. The lady was so sweet, I didn’t feel like cancelling.

  7. Phoned today to cancel AA as I no longer have the vehicle and I haven’t replaced it. The policy is 60 days old and was payed as a lump sum up front.
Told that I can cancel but there is no refund. They are stealing about £ of my money and know that there will never be a claim because I no longer own the named vehicle!. AVOID

The AA will not refund any of the premium you have payed outside of the (obligatory – distance selling) 14 days. They will keep ALL of you money.

  9. WORST SERVICE EVER STAFF IS NOT HELPING WAITED 7 hour b4 AA GOT TO THE PLACE WHERE MY CAR. I PAID PRIVAT PICK UP TRACK TO GET MY CAR HOME. PAYING AA IS WAST OF MONEY!!

  10. that is so they can try and talk you out of cancelling, and believe me they will try, whatever you say they will comeback with another reason why you should stay. The only way ,is to say as soon as you get an answer, that there is no point in them trying to talk you out of it,as you have already decided, and will cancel no matter what they say.Thats why they dont have an online cancellation service,as they wouldnt be able to try and talk you out of it.What annoys me,is they have a silver and gold membership gimmick, where they offer discounts on (often useless)produucts .eg so much off a case of wine.hard luci if you only drinkk beer.they would be better rewarding silver and gold members with reduced membership fees, but of course they dont want to do that,so they would rather pay outside companys, then to give discounts to their own members.Just about sums them up.Same with aa inurance if you tell them to cancel ,they will immediately say they can give you a cheaper qoute,so why diont they give you that cheaper qoute at renewal time? Its dishonest, and when they tried it with me,,I rejected their cheaper qoute, and cancelled anyway, because of this.when I asked why they didnt qoute me the cheaper option on my renewal date,I just got fobbed off with a load of waffle.
